We are aiming to build a pool of contracting professionals who want to engage with challenging projects in the life science space on a project-by-project basis.
The community membership does not constitute an employment relationship.
Yes!
Many individuals work with other companies while they are working with Salience Learning.
If you are engaged on a project with Salience Learning, you will be asked to sign a contract. This would further explain if there are limitations to the work you do outside of Salience Learning.
- We review the project with you to confirm it meets your needs.
- We talk to you about your expertise and check out your work, and talk to references if this is your first engagement.
- If the project is offered to you, you will have the opportunity to accept or decline it.
- Throughout the process, we ensure confidentiality for you, our clients, and Salience Learning.
Depending on the project and your history with Salience Learning, onboarding to a project could look different. At a minimum you will meet with the project manager or leader to confirm the scope, deliverables, and timelines. You will also be provided any other information that you’ll need to perform your work.
Throughout the project there will be key check-in points to make sure deliverables are on track.
At the end of a project, you will meet with the project manager or leader to close out the engagement and ensure all the deliverables are as expected.
Every project is different. Generally, projects run from 1 to 6 months.
You will be provided with all the information that you need to submit your invoices for payment through Salience Learning’s Accounts Payable department. Our payment terms are net 30.
No, as a freelancer, you are not eligible for benefits, vacation or holidays. Independent contractors are responsible for their own business operations, taxes, and insurance.
